Ateneo beats La Salle in annual college alumni golf in Western Sydney

BY RIC DE VERA – The annual golf tournament between Ateneo and La Salle held at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club on March 20, 2021 was won by the Ateneo Golf team headed by Alvin Rebulado. They scored total team scores of 293 under the seven/eight to play four to count method of scoring via system 36. Team member scorers were Alvin Rebulado (71), Carlos Perez (72), Matt Rebulado (74) and Ed Noche (76).

Individual winners were: Nanding dela Cruz as lowest/best net (72) and Alvin Rebulado as lowest/best gross of 78. These individual winners were awarded with $60 cash prize each.

Nearest the pin winners were: Matt Rebulado (hole no. 6), Alvin Rebulado (hole no.11) and Rene Maisog (hole no. 17). No winner for hole no. 16. These winners were awarded with $20 each.

After the tournament, everyone was ushered to the Bistro for various flavour of sumptuous pizza coupled with drinks.

During the awards presentation, the Ateneo Alumni Association of Australia president, Gerald Santiago thanked everyone for coming and acknowledged the presence of Megaward representatives, Ramon Ramajo and Jax Rottcher.

Sponsor of the event was Megaward Property Group who donated $200 towards the participants food during the awards presentation ceremonies plus $100 for each team towards their charitable projects.
