PASSCI Seniors Elect Officers

The Philippine Australian Society for Senior Citizens, Inc.  (PASSCI) held the Induction of its 2017 Officers on 17th Dec at Fairfield City Community Hall.

 The elected officers are Jun Relunia, president; Linda Alvarez Barnes, vice president; Mimi Wilson, treasurer; Linda Castor, Internal Auditor,  with  Caring Grapillon, Dina Watts, Agnes Nethercott, Ben Bongat, Cres Olechnik, Violy Escultura, Anita Albao Connel, Kel Connel  and Rolly Atienza  as directors.

PASSCI is the first Filipino seniors group to be incorporated in Australia and is based in Fairfeld City, NSW.

Jun Relunia is the son of  PASSCI founder Jose Relunia Sr, one of the pioneers in Philippine community organisations in NSW.

Jun Relunia himself was previously a president of the peak organisation Philippine Community Council of NSW (PCC-NSW).

PCC-NSW recently acknowledged his leadership in the recently successful holding of the inaugural Philippine Pasko (Christmas) Festival held last 12-13 November at Tumbalong Park in Darling harbour Sydney. Relunia was chair of the Philippine Pasko Organising Committee.(see photo).
