BY RIC DE VERA – Alex Cruz from Rooty Hill and immediate past president of Golf ParE Social club won the 2020 club championship trophy of Sydney Metro Social Golf Club awarded during the Christmas party and awards presentation dinner on December 5, 2020.
He scored net 200 points for three games besting the rest of the 40 contending members. Alex was awarded with trophy plus $200 cash prize and the privilege to engrave his name in the monumental perpetual trophy.
Likewise, he also won the CB Cup organized by Sydney Metro on behalf of Cesar Bigornia in recognition of his milestone birthday on November 28, 2020.

He scored gross stroke of 94 and net 67 using his handicap of 27, despite the hot and windy weather condition. He was awarded with trophy plus $150 cash prize. “”Am so happy for my accomplishment after 13 years of playing golf” said an ecstatic Alex.
Sydney Metro Club champion runners up were: Obet Bolina (2nd Place), Fidelis Badelles (3rd Place), Bert Castro (4th Place) and Albert Tirona as 5th Place.
