The organisation Auburn Small Community Organisation Network (ASCON) Inc, is holding the event “Celebrating the Resilience of Diverse Communities Festival” , a multicultural celebration at Auburn Botanic Gardens Community Picnic Area, 99 Chisholm Road, Auburn NSW 2144 on 22 October 2022 at 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Funded by the NSW Government under the 2022/2023 Stronger Together Grants Program Festivities and Events Round 1, the aim is to celebrate our cultural identity, bring together diverse communities, promote social cohesion and community harmony.
An inclusive, family-friendly and admission-free festival, activities include: a vibrant cultural extravaganza such as: a parade of traditional costumes, cultural performances, non-contact children’s games with prizes for the participants and a free henna tattoing. A light lunch with drinks will also be provided.
Expected to attend are representatives of the federal, state and local Government, Consular Officials from a number of Consulates in Sydney, a cross section of diverse communities, NGOs, multicultural media and members of ASCON.
