Gerald Santiago, the newly elected President, has an MBA from the Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School of Business, a bachelor’s degree from UP Diliman and post-graduate credentials from AGSM University of New South Wales.  He has extensive professional experience from different financial institutions,  having senior roles in Citibank, BPI, HSBC Australia and currently a major domestic bank. Gerald is married to his lovely wife Maureen, who is also an Ateneo Alumni, with three wonderful children.

In his message to the members during the AGM,  Gerald discussed the goals to make  AAAA an inclusive organisation that listens to and supports the alumni, be an active participant in the Filipino Australian community and expand the current scholarship program in the Philippines.

The elected Officers and Directors are a combination of young blood and old guards, providing new opportunities to reconnect with the alumni from Jesuit schools in the Philippines who are now residing in Australia.

Since the AAAA’s inception in 1995, the association has been actively involved in the community, rekindling and pursuing the Ignatian spirit of being “men and women for others”. Ad majórem Dei glóriam. BY DEMI ROBINSON
