Philippine community leader Dr Cen Amores requested publication of a collaborative appeal by several multicultural community organsations.
She said, “Proceeds for this appeal will be used to purchase materials for the repair of victim’s houses, provide other basic needs for them to start life anew and to make our kababayan feel that despite our distance, we have not forgotten them, most especially in times of need like calamities and crises.”
The organisers include the Multicultural Assistance Task Force (MATF), Auburn Small Communities Network (ASCON), Grace Church, Alliance of Philippine Commuity Organisation (Escultura), Kapitbahayan Cooperative Ltd (KCL), Iraqui Reminiscence, Clothesline Inc, and two other entities.
