Venturing to photography business for “family flexibility”

Philippine community leader Mr Jun Relunia is happy of the achievement of his niece Nina Gahdia as an award winning photographer in Sydney.

Nina who was interviewed recently by community radio program Radio Tagumpay on Triple H 100.1 FM in Hornsby retells her story:

Peerspace curated a list of their top 11 family photographers in Sydney and I was lucky enough to be included in that list. To be named in the Top 11 is such an honour for me.

Earlier this year I also got 4th place in the Find A Photographer “Highlights 2021 Photo Awards”, another very proud moment for me.

I started my small photography business 6 years ago when my first son was born. We decided to take this risk so that we would be able to give our family flexibility to be able to work around our boys so we wouldn’t miss out on seeing them grow up. While it hasn’t been an easy path, I am so glad to have made this move. I have met so many lovely families and I love my job. It brings me so much joy to be able to capture special moments for my clients. I know that when my clients print and frame their photos, they will have something they value on display for them to enjoy every day.
