A number of executives of Philippine broadcaster ABS-CBN assigned in Australia said goodbye to Australian subscribers and community partners following the broadcaster’s announced restructuring as a result of losing its free-to-air broadcasting license in the Philippines.

ABS-CBN Australia Country Manager Mr Jay Santos led a number of executives in sending their goodbyes to friends and supporters, especially members of Filipino press.
In his letter to some community partners, Mr Santos said:”
I wish to inform all of you that I will be leaving ABSCBN and TFC at the end of the month. Our Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Maribel Hernaez will be directly overseeing our ANZ operations from Manila. Furthermore, Nikki Famador, our PR & CSR Manager will continue to actively engage with all of you for media releases and other media matters involving ABSCBN and TFC.
Meanwhile, Jerwin Jarical will assume the role of Territory Representative for Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Territories effective 1 September 2020 and will be the on ground representative here in Australia. May Ilagan will remain in her role as Marketing Manager.
I wish to sincerely thank each and everyone of you for your remarkable support for ABS-CBN and TFC in my more than 6 years as Country Manager. It has been my absolute pleasure to have known and collaborated with each one of you to better serve our Kapamilyas in all of Australia and New Zealand. It has been a wonderful ride for me and not in the least because of the working relationships with partners like all of you.’
