Capistrano of Lurnea wins 22nd GOLF ParE Social Club’s Anniversary Cup

The 22nd Golf ParE Social Club’s Anniversary Cup held on July 19, 2020 at Fox Hills Golf Club was won by Joselito Capistrano from Lurnea. He scored 42 stableford points using his social handicap of 36. He was awarded with a crystal trophy, $250 cash and the right to engrave his name in the monumental perpetual trophy for his exceptional efforts. “I’m so happy for my win” simply said an ecstatic Joselito Capistrano.

Runners up winners with their stableford scores and handicaps used were: Romie Costelo (41/14) as first runner up; Gerry Crescini (39/33) as second runner up; Joey Mercado (38/25) as third runner up; Albert Abit (37/18 cb) as fourth runner up and Tino Malubag (37/15) as fifth runner up. These runners up were awarded with crystal trophies and cash prizes of $150 (first runner up), $100 (second runner up) and $75 each for the rest.

Novelty hole winners were also awarded with $10 cash prizes each on all holes (except holes 3 & 17 for wines), whether longest drives (par 5), nearest the pins (par 3) or best drive & pitch (par 4).

Presentation of awards after lunch was done by Rey Garcia, Past President and sponsor.  He was assisted by Ferdie Halili, Treasurer.

The incumbent Golf ParE Social Club President, Alex Cruz thanked all the participants for joining the 22^nd Anniversary Cup and congratulated the winners. He also thanked the committee members as well as the sponsors.

The tournament was enjoyed by forty (48) golfers due to good weather. It was followed by hamburger with bacon & chips lunch at the bistro of the clubhouse to the delight of everyone.
