Leading Sydney community housing organisation Bridge Housing is looking for families working in theBlacktown region who struggle to afford private rental housing to live in brand new homes on the Bunya estate in Bungarribee.
Bridge Housing has partnered with experienced contract home developer, Clarendon Homes, to build the 65 homes. The 63 x 3 bedroom dwellings and 2 x 2 bedroom dwellings are designed for energy efficiency, have stainless steel kitchen appliances, are fully landscaped, and have both covered and off-street parking.
This affordable housing is suitable for households with a combined annual income of $66,274 – $113,895, particularly people working in the local region as police, nurses, teachers, aged or childcare workers, or in other essential services. Homes will be available for rent from May.
Bridge Housing CEO Mr John Nicolades said: “This new affordable housing has been built to the same high standard as other housing on the estate and is indistinguishable from the privately owned homes. Tenants will enjoy great local amenities, including adjoining parkland and sporting facilities, local schools and public transport. We will support them to fully participate in their local community.”
