Sydney-based Bicol Communities League Inc. (Bicol Inc.) has launched a fund raising and relief goods appeal called Sorsogon Typhoon Nona Appeal to help victims of the recent typhoon that devastated the Southern most tip of the main Luzon island in the Philippines.
Typhoon Nona wreck together with Typhoon Melor during their landfall in Central Luzon and the Sorsogon province in Bicol in mid-Deember 2015. Images of destroyed many houses and buildings in social media highlighted the damages.
Bicol Inc. chairperson Ms. Demi Robinson of Sydney said shipment of goods to the victims of the typhoon is scheduled on Monday 15th February 2016.
She said Bicol Inc. has donated $1000.00 towards the Typhoon Appeal.
