Eentitled “TY OZ”  the show hopes to raise funds to assist in the rehabilitation /reconstruction projects for Typhoon Haiyan victims and community projects.. Tickets @$60 and $50 are available from these groups and online from Pinoy Tiketek (www.tiket.com.au).

The REO Brothers are inspirational symbols.  Tragedies may leave people desperate and hopeless but the Reo Brothers did not lose hope, they overcame the Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) tragedy, survived and continue to entertain with their voices and guitars.

After their home in Tacloban was swept away by the super typhoon, the Reo Brothers and their father Rey, decided to try their luck in Manila arriving there in late November 2013 penniless and with only their guitars to rely on. In less than a year, they accomplished what no other musical band has achieved before them.

The Band’s first public performance was at the ABS-CBN Christmas TV Special held at the Araneta Coliseum in December 2013 to the delight of the crowd with standing ovation for each song of the Beatles that they rendered.  In March 2014,   they performed at the Madison Square Garden in New York alongside American Superstar Jennifer Hudson,  international star Apl.d.ap.of Black Eye Peas and Voice America sensation Jessica Sanchez, followed by 2 more concerts in California.

In June 2014, they were in Tokyo for a thanksgiving concert. In August and October 2014, they performed at the historic Cavern Club in Liverpool, England where their idols, The Beatles, were discovered. The Reo Brothers are the first Filipino band to perform on that legendary stage. Importantly, they are among the elite Beatle tribute bands who have been invited to participate in the 2015 Beatle Festival Week at the Cavern Club to be held in August 2015.

The  REO Bros’ band  name is coined from the initials of their first name, the middle name “Evasco” and surname “Otic”.

RJ was responsible for the formation of the group. He started to create music from tin cans until they were able to acquire the real drums and guitars to croon their idols’ songs (the Beatles and Beegees). They  sang at birthday and wedding parties in Tacloban, their main sources of livelihood as breadwinners for their large family.
