Blacktown in New South Wales will celebrate active, healthy and independent ageing as part of Seniors Week this 15-23 March, with a jam packed program of free activities designed especially for seniors.
The theme, ‘Live Life!’, promotes a positive attitude towards ageing and Blacktown has embraced this, providing plenty of fun activities for seniors to enjoy.
Whether it be discovering an untapped artistic flair at a drawing workshop, getting active in an Aqua Aerobics class or learning new computer skills, there is something to suit all tastes.
Blacktown City Council is a committed supporter of the local senior community, with the number of local residents aged over 65 expected to double by 2036.
