The second event in the 2013 MoneyGram Filipino sports program is the Sydney Kings Filipino Celebration night held in association with the Filipino Australian Basketball Association and held on Sunday October 27 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre when the Kings host the Perth Wildcats.
The entertainment starts at 12.30 pm with the curtain raiser MoneyGram Filipino Allstars Challenge featuring the best Sydney local Filipino basketballers, followed by a community 3-point competition with prizes and the ‘MoneyGram Jam’ breakdancing and urban dance in the Sydney Entertainment Centre forecourt.
Before tip off a guard of honour for the teams will include Filipino Australian children followed by X-Factor stars Zakiya and Shavaun Marie who will sing the Australian national anthem.
At half time, Australia’s Got Talent 2012 finalists Filipino dance troupe Kookies N Kream will entertain the crowed followed by ‘Shoot for the Loot’ in which one lucky fan will get a half-court shot for a $5,000 MoneyGram transfer.
