AFTER a recent success of David Pomeranz 5 concerts in May & Jose Mari Chan’s 4 concerts in October 2012, Oz-Pinoy Promotions is back and proud to produce & promote the much awaited Australian tour of Nonoy Zuniga during the month of June 2013 to the delight of his Filipino fans.
Oz-Pinoy Promotions proudly presents “The Voice”, pop icon and the quintessential singer, Nonoy Zuniga “Winter Beginnings” Australia Tour 2013.
Nonoy’s singing career spans more than 3 decades; as a folksinger from 1971 to 1975 and then as one of the lead singers of the former disco group Family Birth Control Band, the delighted party-goers across the city with hip-swaying beats from 1975 to 1980. His band performed in the best nightspots and hotels like Philippine Plaza, Holiday Inn and the Manila Hotel. With his clear baritone voice he started to attract the attention of music buffs. His style and rendition of different songs especially love songs made him acquire a number of distinct awards.
The OPM balladeer proceeded to achieve success as a solo artist, receiving awards for such hit songs as “Doon Lang,” “Kumusta Ka”, “Love Without Time” and “Never Say Goodbye”. Still, he missed the sheer enjoyment of performing onstage with a band. To this day, Nonoy yearns to play with his old friends, and jam to the music of Earth, Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang, Commodores, The Stylistics, Village People and Bee Gees.
Nonoy Zuniga will bring his soulful and funky music in Australia touring Sydney on 22 June 2013 at Blacktown RSL NSW and maybe other major cities to be announced later. Nonoy Zuniga will be backed up by his musical director Eric Narvaez and supported by local artists.
