Lions chapter official and former Blacktown councillor Mr Allan Green reported that
the Board of Directors of The Riverstone & Districts Lions Club of Western Sydney had considered a motion to donate to Yolanda Typhoon victim relief.
After reviewing its available funds and considering the massive scale of the Typhoon Yolanda disaster, the Board voted to donate $5000 dollars through Quezon City Bahagari Executive Lions Club to be used in the Typhoon Victim relief fund in the Tacloban region impacted by the Haiyan (Yolanda) Typhoon.
In response to the news of the donation Riverstone & District Lions received the following email from our Twin Club in the Philippines:
