Award-winning Filipino American musical director, keyboardist and producer based in Los Angeles, California, Troy Laureta, shows pride in his roots by producing reinterpretations of classic OPM songs with his album, “Kaibigan: A Troy Laureta OPM Collective”.
“Giliw” is the second volume to Troy Laureta’s OPM Collective series – part of his continued effort to spread awareness and showcase Filipino music on a global scale. His songs feature David Foster, L.A.-based singer-songwriter Adah, Cheesa, Canadian Deborah Cox, Shoshana Bean, Skylar Stecker, and Nicole Scherzinger. They are joined by Filipino talents Jona, Morissette, Jake Zyrus, and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, among many others.
Through “Giliw, Troy Laureta and his collaborators hope to draw more attention to OPM.
