We are going manual for the Barangay and SK elections, Comelec says

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections is reminding the public that the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on October 31 will be conducted using the old manual voting and counting method.
“There might be a common perception that the Barangay and SK elections will also be automated since the 2016 National and Local automated elections have just been concluded.
We will be voting manually on October 31st. Voters will be using a ballot with blanks where they will write down the names of their selected candidates.” COMELEC Spokesperson James Jimenez said. The Commission will start printing ballots on August 21.
