PH Actor and Sydney “Filipino pioneer” Henry Duval Feist Passes Away

Philippine stage and movie actor in the  60s Henry Vale Feist and one of the Filipino community “pioneers” in Sydney in 1970s had passed away.

Henry who performed at some stage plays in Sydney usually played strong character roles in Philippine movies in the 60s.

Veteran Sydney journalist Jaime Pimentel said Henry also emceed one monthly chapter of the Sydney-based Hamon sa Kameon amateur singing contest in 1986, “adding a bit of style d grace to the show.”

This reporter also remembered Henry as the enterprising businessman who established in 1982 the pioneering Filipino restaurant called “Little Quiapo” at the second floor of a commercial building in Wynyard, part of Sydney CBD.
