MAS Presents is excited to announce that X Factor Australia star Calvin Orosa is scheduled to visit the Philippines for a nine-day promotional tour next month. The talented crooner from Ryde will accompany American YouTube sensation Gabe Bondoc for a series of sold out shows in Manila from February 28-March 8.
Calvin finished in the TOP 24 on the X Factor reality music show late last year. He got as far as the three-seat challenge, and received rave reviews from celebrity judges Guy Sebastian, Iggy Azalea and Adam Lambert. He wowed the judges with a smooth R&B and jazz-fused cover of Craig David’s “Fill Me In” during his live audition.
The 23-year old with Filipino and Indonesian roots will be traveling to the Philippines for the very first time. He is currently performing on a cruise ship in the Pacific and doing some song writing in his spare time, but is already looking forward to the Philippine trip.
“I can’t wait to go to Manila. I’m looking forward to getting to know my culture more, meet the people and see how they live. I’m excited to also share my music. It will be refreshing for Filipino music lovers to hear something different and unique.”
So far, Calvin has been scheduled to make guest appearances on Rappler.com, One Music PH ABS CBN and GMA 7 Unang Hirit.
Calvin is part of Sovereign Hill Records, an emerging Australian record label/creative agency that includes a stable of artists and social media influencers, including Miss Powers, Genesis Beatbox and Naisa.
