Former Blacktown councillor and high profile friend of the Philippine community Mr Allan Green has been endorsed as candidate of ChristianDemocratic Party (CDP) for the NSW seat of Riverstone in the coming March 28 election in Ne South Wales.

Allan also has a strong ongoing connection with the  Philippines, and recently visited Baguio City and Central Luzon.

Allan Green is married to Malu Rivera who is from Manila and he is a long term resident of the Quakers Hill area.  Allan Green has lobbied actively to improve community facilities in the Riverstone State electorate in various ways as a member of community groups, a local church member, a long serving City Councillor and parent who raised a family in the area.

Allan  said he is well aware of the needs and concerns of the local people in Riverstone.  He said hen has a strong desire to see the local people enjoying the facilities and services that they need in areas such as education, aged facilities, sport facilities, parks, health services, housing, roads, transport services and law and order.

He said he  had campaigned for improved health facilities at Blacktown Hospital, the construction of the Stanhope Gardens based Blacktown Leisure Centre, better parks such as Riverstone Lions Park, restoration of the Riverstone Girl Guides Hall, up graded pool facilities and better community facilities during his time on Blacktown City Council.

He said he has long supported the need for the new Riverstone Police station and the need for a new hospital in the Rouse Hill area to serve the needs of the growing population in the electorate.

Allan said he has a background in teaching, government administration, local government, community work and he works in a local small business. Allan is also a Past President and member of the Riverstone and Districts Lions Club which has a twin Lions club in Metro Manila, a former long serving Blacktown City Councillor and an active member of Quakers Hill Anglican Church which has a Filipino congregation.

As a community activist Allan said he cares deeply about the needs of the local people in the Riverstone electorate. Allan sees many local needs and he is keen to develop ways to meet those needs and to get real outcomes for the people of Riverstone.

Allan Green said he has a strong ongoing connection with the Philippines as he is actively involved in Philippines Lions community and Christian church based charity projects in the Philippines. Allan recently returned from his seventh friendship visit to the Philippines.
