TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) urged the public whose land are not yet titled to seek their assistance for free survey and titling.

Engr. Eliseo Mabasa, chief-land management division, said they have been offering their services to assist families in patenting and processing their land titles.

For now, he said, they also open their services to agricultural lands and government lot properties without titles.

He stated that based on their survey, 70 percent of region 2’s land is potential for conversion with more than 730,000 hectares alienable and disposable. With the said figure, 18,000 hectares are still untitled.

“We assessed that there still many private properties that are still untitled, especially those families who have settled down for residential but up to now they don’t have titles as well as those tilling agricultural lands,” Mabasa said.

Mabasa added that even government properties, there are still some without land titles, especially schools and other barangay facilities.
