Rev, Nomer Velasco, Pastor of the Faith in Christ Fellowship in Minto, NSW near Campbelltown will assume the position of President of the Christian denomination Church of Foursquare Australia following the resignation of its present president Rev. Wayne Magee of Heartbeat Coffs Harbour church.
Magee resigned for health reasons and this will take effect 29th of May 2020. Ps. Velasco is the Vice-President of the denomination.
Ps. Magee said, “I have the utmost confidence in Pastor Nomer as Vice-President of the Company in assuming the role for the immediate future and take the opportunity to pray God’s powerful blessing upon him and Pastor Carol as they assume the new role.”
Nomer Velasco has served as the Lead Pastor of Faith in Christ Fellowship Macarthur, a church in Southwest Sydney, for the past 24 years. He is married to Carol and they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Nomer lectures at L.I.F.E. Bible College Australia and regularly leads Mission Teams to the Pacific Islands and the Philippines. He has been Secretary of the Denomination for 11 years.
Leadership of the 30 or so churches denomination Foursquare Church Australia in Eastern Australia is now under two Filipino Australians with the other position of Foursquare District Supervisor being presently occupied by known religious leader in Western Sydney Rev. Rudy Tan, Senior Pastor of the church FCF Life Centre The Church On The Highway in Minchinbury, NSW.
