CAGAYAN, Philippines – The Department of Education (DepEd) Tuguegarao Schools Division has ordered all teachers to start the regular classes of school year 2014-2015 on June 2.

“No students and  teachers should be seen either cleaning the classroom or the school ground on the day of the class opening,” Tuguegarao City Schools Division Superintendent Gildbert Tong said.

He expected that all school facilities and premises here were already prepared for the school opening during the five-day ‘Brigada Eskwela’ program.

Tong also ordered the school officials to create a system to ensure order in welcoming the students. “There should be posted signs directing the students going to their respective classrooms,” he added.

The names of the students, he stressed should be posted at the front door of every classroom so the learners will easily determine their classrooms and sections.

Aside from this, he also instructed teachers to accept late enrollees during the first week of classes particularly those from far-flung places.

The DepEd will also collaborate with the Philippine National Police to ensure peace and security of the students during the first week of classes.
