The Kalabaw Super Senior Golfers (KSSG) held a Chari-Tee golf tournament for the victims of Odette typhoon in the Philippines at Rosnay Golf Course last December 29, 2021.

Fr. Evers Bernaldez from Penrith won the event with his gross stroke of 90 and net 60 using his social handicap of 30. First runner up was Doc Anton Andres with his gross score of 89 and net 63 using his social handicap of 26 and wining by count back. Second runner up was Joe Rancudo with his gross score of 90 and net 63 using his handicap of 27 and losing by count back. These winners were awarded with gift packs courtesy of KSSG officers and friends.

Novelty hole winners who were given gift packs were John Sabanal (hole 5), Joe Cura (hole 10) and Joe Capistrano on hole no 18.

Before the tournament, everyone was treated for coffee or tea courtesy of Danny Garcia and bananas courtesy of Benjie Lualhati. After the tournament, a sumptuous barbeque lunch with fried rice and desert were served to the delight of all the participants.

Before the presentation, KSSG Chairman Danny Garcia reported that there were many friends and donors who gave their donations even not playing golf which totaled roughly $8000. This was because of the beneficiary, the victims of typhoon Odette. He thanked everyone involved in this charitable endeavor and to the donors.

Finally, raffles were drawn with gift items as prizes courtesy of KSSG officers and friends.

As of this writing, it was reported that the money raised exceeded $10,000 and such amount was already sent to the Red Cross Makati Chapter care of Chairman John Tiong, with specific instructions to channel the donation to Palawan Province.

KSSG founding President Albert MG Garcia sent his appreciation and thanks to all the golfers and friends involved in this humanitarian project, most especially for their trust and confidence. Here is wishing all my golfing buddies a prosperous and healthy new year 2022
