BY RIC DE VERA – Rey Montano from Appin and member of Lakeside Golf Club topped the maiden HV Rebar Scheduling Services Pty Ltd Invitational golf competition held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Stonecutters Ridge Golf club.
Montano scored 41 stableford points using his AGU handicap of 15 after adjusting for slope of 127 (SRGC). He won a trophy plus $200 cash handed by HV Bar Scheduling Company managing director Henry Villadiego.
Division winners with their stableford scores and handicaps included Bernie Balagtas (39/4) for A Div, Obet Bolina (37/17) for B Div and Raul Luna (39/25) for C Div.
Some 35 golfers joined this event which was used to be a tennis competition but moved to a golf, Henry Viloladiego decided to move his sponsorship to the game of golf.
Rey Montano himself co-organised the competition and thanked everyone for their support for this maiden competition. On his part, Henry Villadiego invited participants to next year’s competition sometime in March. Everyone enjoyed a light dinner of pizza coupled with red wine at the Ridge Brasserie
