Premier Gladys Berejiklian has wrapped up a successful four day mission promoting NSW trade, business and innovation by visiting the Philippines on the final leg.
Ms Berejiklian said the success of the State’s international partnerships reflects NSW’s high standing on the world stage.
“Our relationship with the Philippines is stronger than ever, allowing us to secure ongoing growth in trade and jobs for NSW,” Ms Berejiklian said.
“Opening up these growing markets to NSW businesses ensures our economy benefits from strong international trade and I look forward to exploring new links with our friends in Manila.
“Many people from the Philippines now call NSW home and it is wonderful to strengthen people to people links as well as grow our economic and trade links.”
Parliamentary Secretary John Sidoti joined the Premier on her first trade mission to the Philippines.
“It has been great to accompany the Premier and promote NSW,” Mr Sidoti said.
“There is no doubt the bilateral links which have been established on this mission will be built on even further in the years to come.”
The visit to the Philippines followed three days in China where the Premier announced new education, health and tourism initiatives.
