DILG launches ‘ADMIRE’ for LGUs in the Philippines

ISABELA PROVINCE, Philippines – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in this province recently introduced a program that recognizes top 10 performing municipalities this year.
Dubbed as Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities and Recognition of Exemplars (ADMIRE), the new program was launched by no less than DILG-Isabela Provincial Director Elpidio Durwin at Zen Hotel in Santiago City.
Michael Benigno, DILG designated information officer, said ADMIRE, which is originally coined by DILG-Isabela, is an incentive and awards program aims to recognize top performing municipalities in the implementation of DILG projects in their respective localities.
Benigno said the accomplishments of all DILG project recipient-municipalities from February to November 2017 will be assessed and evaluated.
Benigno said the criteria in determining the awardees entail physical accomplishment (20%), submission of liquidation report (20%), observance of the process in the implementation of the project (20%), functionality of the Local Development Council (LDC) with Civil Society Organization (CSO) Membership (15%), and quality and functioning of projects (25%).
