It marks the beginning of the preparations for this year’s Freedom Luncheon and Ball to be held at the Conca D’Oro Italian Event Centre, Riverwood Shopping Complex at 269 Belmore Rd, Riverwood.

APCO Freedom Ball  will start at 11:30am on the Sunday Queen’s Birthday long weekend, the 8th of June. Highlight of this year’s celebration to commemorate the 116th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence is to say “Thank you” to all those who made it possible to raise funds towards APCO’s Humanitarian Emergency and Livelihood (HEAL) Project.

In response to the Typhoon Haiyan appeal,  a team of APCO volunteers personally delivered variety of relief and rebuilding assistance to the Cebu, Leyte, Tacloban City, Camotes Island and Samar in February-March this year,

APCO members held the photo shooting in colourful Filipiniana and Barongs  attires, showcasing the admirable fashion sense and cultural heritage of Filipinos.

Admission to this  year’s Freedom Luncheon and Ball’s cost of $80  which covers  a 3-course sumptuous lunch, $10 worth  complimentary raffle ticket,  spectacular entertainment show, and  opportunity to network with new and old friends as well as  leaders of CALD communities and government officials.  Public dancing will cap the nights celebration.

The proceeds raised will further help towards continuing the initiatives undertaken to help the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) and fund APCO’s advocacy and community development projects. By Richard Ford
