Toowoomba, QLD Feb 16 – Local crowd favourite and  Filipino superstar Jack “the Assassin” Asis who has a record of 29 wins (18 TKO) 15 losses and 5 draws) today announced that the will take on tough Indonesian work horse  Ariel who has a record of 20 wins (7 TKO), 12 losses and 1 draw.

Smithy promotions brings the card billed as “Smithy Brings The Big Fight 6.”

Asis who has featured on majority of the big fights cards brought the house down last time out in a very controversial majority  draw.

According to his trainer manager the man known as “the Assassin” has learnt a lot from his last fight and is ready for the world’s  best.

“Jack is ready to fight to fight the best in the world. I believe he is one of the best in the world and we are willing to fly over the globe for a shot at a title,” said Asis’ promoter manager and trainer Brendon Smith.

“Ariel is the right fight to prepare Jack for another chance at big title and I’m glad he can showcase his skills in front of his adopted home town of Toowoomba once again. Last time out we were hard done by, but that’s part of boxing.  Jack has learned from that and has vowed and declared that he won’t make the same mistake twice.”

Blader and Asis both share the same similar rival in Chonlatarn Piriyampinyo.  Both have suffered defeats to the Thai superstar and it’s Asis who wants his revenge.

“I would love to fight Chonlatam again. I’ll fight anyone put in front of me. I don’t care where they come from or where we are fighting. I’m a fighter. This is what I do. I don’t like to talk. I like to fight.” said Asis.

This fight will take place in the undercard of “Smithy Brings the Big Fight 6” which will be headlined by the return of Michael Katsidis “the Great”  vs tough Indonesian Eddy Comaro.
