Mrs Jane Brock of the non-profit organisation Migrante Australia announced the non-for-profit screenings of Joel Lamangan’s film “Migrante” (Filipino Diaspora) in various venues in Sydney during the month March 2013.
Ms. Brock said proceeds of the film screening will go to the typhoon-affected communities in Southern Philippines. The film is in Filipino with English subtitle. Cost of admission are $10 adult, $5 child and $25 for family of two adults and two children

During the premiere of the film in Manila last year, its producer Mr.Dennis Evangelista said.”Ginawa ang pelikulang ito hindi para mag-encourage sa mga Filipinos na mag-abroad kungdi himayin ang tunay na kalagayan ng mga abused O.F.Ws. It’s a campaign for the real situation of our OFW kababayan.”
Migrante (Filipino Diaspora) was shot in Pampanga province in the Philippines and in Israel, directed by Joel Lamangan from screenplay by Palanca awardee Bonmifacio Ilagan.
